Once upon a time...
THE BLACK & WHITE PICTURES

Pete Townshend, The Who guitar master, rockin' in the seventies.

Whitesnake singer David Coverdale with The Government, his band before the Deep Purple era. Nobody would believe he is the dummy wearing shades.

At a young age, Carlos Santana holds a book about Ciencias Físicas y Naturales.

Peter Frampton comes alive! Behind him, megastar Rick Wakeman looking at the camera. Those seventies...

Two of my favorites female singers together on stage. Janis Joplin and my all-time favorite, Ms. Grace Slick, from the Jefferson Airplane and Starship's fame, at the SF Winterland during the New Year's Eve of 1968.

The man in black. The one and only Ritchie Blackmore leading DP at his highest.

The Glimmer Twins at Hotel Bolivar in downtown Lima (1969). The story tells that Jagger and Richards were asked to leave the premises because of some unknown reasons. You figure it out.

Carlos Santana arrived in Lima back in 1971. The Military Junta who ruled the country did not allow the band to play as expected. The picture above shows Carlos and guitar player Neal Schon (later with Journey) walking through the streets of the Peruvian capital on their way to the Prefectura, the local government.
